*~ThE LaDy Of MaNy FLoWeRs~*


*~Whimsical Versatile Ladies’ Top Hat design by WiLd PeArLy~*



So, around two weeks ago a really nice lady from Bangkok had contacted me about my designs. She said how much she likes my ‘artistic vision’ and she wondered if I could make her a special hat. Of course I responded “of course”! I totally enjoy making hats and in general I wish we could bring back the beautiful culture of hat fashion (especially from the Victorian/Edwardian era).
I do make hats from time to time, but have to admit not as often as I would love to, so this inquiry was a huge refreshment! The Lady said she just wants it to be mostly black and purple with some pink tones as well….and everything else was left up to my imagination (“my kind of a Customer”) Yay! I am actually totally used to accepting only these kinds of custom orders, since I don’t see what the purpose of an Artist is if you dictate to them ‘what and how to put together’?

Anyway, despite the fact that realistically I don’t even know ‘what the lady looks or sounds like (and still don’t, haha), I felt an instant connection between the two of us…not even too many words were involved, just that magical, mystical, invisible thread of a nice exchange that somehow put us together in time and space and connected us across the seas. I love that kind of a feeling. It is essential, like the process of creating itself. It’s almost like you search for that ‘light in the dark’…and on the way of finding it, you start discovering many other things, emotions by using, opening up your different senses. And the intuition has a main lead. My motto is to let it flow and the idea will get back to you, then strike you like a bolt of lightning!

And once you get the electricity to start flowing through your system, you know the engine has started running and you will get somewhere. The road is open, the possibilities are infinite. And it is all about the story telling. What you are going to experience, soak in and present on your way during the journey. The stories might be the same or very similar, but if you are completely open to let your Imagination and Intuition fly freely, like opening a cage and letting them birds fly to their freedom, their ‘baby bird’ named Idea will get back to you super fast and you will be creating which is the ultimate power of joy!


And I do love to let my ‘baby birds’ fly freely. It happens every single time while I’m creating. There are no obstructions, no reservations, and I do feel blessed. And when my Imagination and Intuition started flying during and after the electronic conversation with my Bangkok Customer, the Idea got back to me, whispering to my ear a story of a beautiful garden of many flowers’.

The Garden became a metaphor of different cultures from different continents and trade roads. Those mystical, amazing ways of communicating, sharing and intertwining. I was thinking about the beauty and romantic power of exchange between ‘total strangers’ and people so distant coming from two different cultures has. I got an image of a whimsical garden full of beautiful flowers that have human faces. They all have different skin tones, appearances, but the petals are all the same or similar. In a symbolical way the petals represent the human race…like, we are all coming from the same place and have a “soul” and “flesh”, but the faces and ‘skins’ are diverse. I know the Bangkok Lady told me “to go over the top with the design as much as I want”; and making a lot of these flower faces and incorporating them in the centerpiece (embellishment) of the hat would look pretty, but on the other hand, it crossed my mind “what if there would be only one face that can tell the same story?”. That’s how I made my decision to make “one special face” of many colors out of polymer clay.

It looks like a wild child.

There are many colors forming the skin pattern, like a ‘barilef’ of different continents. The ‘wild child’ got a ‘body’ in the form of a keyhole which sends the message ‘take a look inside of yourself’…or explore the garden of beauty.

Basically, the main idea I got was to create a versatile piece that will always put a smile on my Bangkok Lady’s face and whoever finds themselves in her company. It is a conversational piece for an outgoing person who has an Explorer’s heart, who loves to learn new things and is not afraid to express her ‘true colors’. This idea is completely shown through the multilayer and patterns I built in this hat. It is a hat ‘chameleon’ we can state.

Depending on your mood, you can wear just the hat with its own, “basic” embellishments (also, there is no “front” or a “back”, because you can turn it the way you like the best at the moment) and then combine it (or not) with 3 different applications.

One is the stretchy purple band that basically serves as a supporter for attaching two main embellishments/centerpieces…and you can choose “the level/height or width” where you are going to place the band before you clip on the centerpieces.
The most fun part is that the centerpieces can be clipped or pinned on wherever you want! I personally love it this way and am always trying to make my designs more playful and fun…




One of the embellishments (the smaller, bow looking one with some sort of a ‘pearl/rhinestone/wheel of fortune/Mandala) has a metal hand-stamped dangling charm. The quote stamped on was said by a great (Victorian/Edwardian era) writer George Bernard Shaw: “Life is about creating yourself”.


I thought this sentence makes perfect sense to this whole design. It completes the story of “The Lady of the many Flowers”. Originally I didn’t have the idea to put any quotations on this hat (and I am an Artist who mostly try to express certain things and say them in different ways rather than printing “the bold” letters). But, once again, my ‘little helper’ Intuition released the Idea while I was reading some of Shaw’s writings while working on the hat. Oh, these infinite combinations and possibilities are so freakin’ romantic! Haha





It’s all about romanticism and storytelling. And Bangkok-Illinois (via Balkan) art thread makes a perfect, little link in this creative, Intercontinental connection of fellow Dreamers.

'DrEaM oN Mr. MeLiEs!'/ Homage to George Melies (detail)Steampunk mixed media necklace by WiLd PeArLy





The beautiful work of a true movie pioneer, one of a kind dreamer and "Cinemagician", Mr.George Méliès never stopped to inspire me! I recognize his dreams and ideas so much, and I think we are connected in spirit!! This necklace is my little homage to him and all of those beautiful dreamers who never give up their ideals for primitive, sensless, crude world of mass-production & fake existence!
So, yes! DrEaM on YoU beAuTiFuL dReAmEr, yOu! ♥

P.S. The movie "Hugo" directed by Martin Scorsese is a wonderful homage to Meliese's work ! A must see for sure! I enjoyed watching it in 3d with my sister last winter...it was a true cine-magic and travelling back in time with beautiful message about power of love and passion...

The Starfish Nymph Sea Goddess

Super feminine, exotic, sweet, romantic & wild...this unique handmade brooch/pin features a real preserved Starfish (Seastar). I made the nymph's face with no molds and hand painted it as well. Her face is set on a gunmetal filigree pendant base. Two intricate feather charms beautify her head . A very special accent that adorns her magnificent little body is a great quality (professional Jewelers) CZ (Cubic Zirconia) ! The picture can't justify it's beauty! This little Sea Nymph/Goddess is created with love and will inspire everyone; to love and respect our beautiful Mother Nature and her magical gifts she's been sharing with us forever~*

Please note: this design is not only a brooch/pin ( it can be worn as a pendant, attached on a necklace); but it's also a piece of art...a little sculpture that can meaningfully sit on a shelf, or on the top of a cabinet, amongst your favorite treasures. The item originally derives from my "The Metamorphosis: or Gregor Samsa's awakening" phantasmagorical collection inspired by Franz Kafka's novel ! :)

A man was walking along a beach when he saw a young boy. Along the shore were many starfish that had been washed up by the tide and were sure to die before the tide returned. The boy was walked slowly along the shore and occasionally reached down and tossed the beached starfish back into the ocean. The man, hoping to teach the boy a little lesson in common sense, walked up to the boy and said, "I have been watching what you are doing, son. You have a good heart, and I know you mean well, but do you realize how many beaches there are around here and how many starfish are dying on every beach every day. Do you really think that what you are doing is going to make a difference?" The boy looked up at the man, and then he looked down at a starfish by his feet. He picked up the starfish, and as he gently tossed it back into the ocean, he said, "It makes a difference to that one."

"Alone" Edgar Allan Poe's goth style skull earrings

These pair of a goth style earrings are actually the reminiscence to one of the greatest poets of our time, the mighty Edgar Allan Poe!

Polyresin skull beads with shiny Swarovski crystals set as the eyes symbolizes Poe himself. A special detail are felt Poe style mustache. 
Above the skulls you can see small metal diamond shaped beads with double infinity signs. 
The top of the earrings consist of black faceted glass beads, the spiral in a square beads and black wired plush, which combined represent Poe's dark visions. 
Just underneath the skulls are carefully placed small shiny blood red beads like the seed of creation and life power.


A very special part of these unique dangles are beautiful poetical rosette styled filigree star charms that are the connectors and symbols between the worlds. 
They also give a romantic note that shines through Edgar Allan Poe's timeless writings.

So, one day I received a custom request from one of my dear customers from Oregon. She asked me to design her a purse that will be featuring a piece of fabric she had in her stock for a while. The fabric is Alexander Henry’s (famous mod-pop hand peace-sign design)...the rest was left to me & my imagination...and this is what we got...

T-minus…10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3..2..1..we have ignition!':))) Blast off to the heavens above with this dazzling retro, cyber-punk hand purse made with the movement in the 60’s in mind, with a twist of mod-pop! From the first launch into outer space, to the peace and love movement, you can definitely recognize these qualities in this design along with that wild and ‘dandy-punk-ish’ look to add that extra flair! These two styles critique each other well and bring a whole new dimension to the “designer” purse category. This is the perfect piece for a true Bohemian who will never forget about the good old times of progress and peaceful revolution! This luxurious, yet super fun purse has an exterior that consists of a crushed/textured aluminum novelty pleather that is highlighted with matching tassel strands. It has front and back matching woven trimmed pockets for convenience that dawn the ever famous “Jolly Roger” skulls decorated with rhinestones, roses, and traces of glitter. WiLd PeArLy Art Studio/Boutique Opening! :)))



I have been an artist since my first memories, and have always dreamed of having my very own studio/boutique to display my creations. Well…the stars were finally aligned in that perfect sequence and this dream became a reality! I have put my heart and soul into creating the perfect setting to express my pure visions of fun, colorful and meaningful wearable handcrafted items and also give that euphoric feeling of bliss to all who enter this little magical place! The vibes will always be positive and the atmosphere will always be ‘WoNdErLiCiOuS’! ;)))

Everything you will see is one of a kind design and hand crafted by yours truly! Mixed media and various techniques transformed into jewelry, purses, accessories, jewelry boxes, art mirrors, etc... is what you’ll perceive! It will be a unique experience to say the least!
The Studio/Boutique is located in a historical location in the center of the City of Kankakee (IL). Actually, the building is well known as the 'Majestic Center Towne Mall' and the address is 150 North Schuyler Avenue.
Just to let you know, WiLd PeArLy is located in the lower level of the Mall (#LL2) ; there are two ways to find me>>> one is if you enter through the “basement” sidewalk door…. and the other one is if you enter the main door and then use the elevator (push the “B”>>>Mall button) and enter through to your right.
Having said this, I am pleased to announce that I will be opening my art studio/boutique on Friday, May 21st at 11 AM for general business! And the Shop hours will be: Tuesday-Friday 11AM-5:30 PM Saturday 9:30AM-3 PM Come join me on this journey that I have so thankfully began and explore this beautiful new world! There will be drinks and snacks, and I thank you in advance for your support! Be the first to view the new studio, and enjoy a few goodies while you do so.
